parapsychology booksThis is a featured page

As I’ve mentioned in other places, reading in parapsychology and related areas should be done with discrimination, as the accuracy and quality of what’s written, and it’s adherence to basic rules of scholarship and science, varies a great deal. That’s a polite way of saying some of what you’ll find is about as accurate as one can get with the present state of our knowledge, some is considerably tailored to promote particular belief systems, and some is just plain inaccurate. But you can’t be very discriminating at the beginning when you’re just learning about the material and ways of studying it, you do have to depend on authorities to get started. So here is a list of books, some recent, some more classical, compiled by me and parapsychologist colleagues1 that we consider accessible to the non-specialist, interesting, and accurate.
